This morning, a meeting of the crisis unit was convened with the mayors of the municipalities hardest hit by the seismic activity recorded last night. According to regional Civil Protection assessor Riccardo Riccardi, there have been no reported injuries. However, assessments of damage to structures and infrastructure are still underway, with no significant situations reported at present.

“A team of Civil Protection technicians is diligently surveying the affected areas,” Mr. Riccardi emphasized, “and if necessary, we will reconvene this afternoon to determine urgent intervention needs.”

Mr. Riccardi concluded by noting that the mayors expressed gratitude for the immediate support shown by the Region, acknowledging the widespread concern and fear among citizens.

According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the earthquake that struck at 10:19 PM yesterday measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, with a hypocenter 10 kilometers deep and an epicenter located 5 kilometers from the municipalities of Socchieve (Udine) and Tramonti di Sopra.
