Filming for the second season of the television series Libera, starring Lunetta Savino in the lead role, is set to conclude on 2 May 2026 at the Trieste Law Courts. The production, which has been active across the regional territory, was officially presented at the former Sea Museum in Trieste, made available by the Municipality to house production offices, dressing rooms, and costume storage.

The series is produced by 11 Marzo Film with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission. The six new episodes are scheduled to air on Rai 1 between late 2026 and early 2027, according to the production. Direction is entrusted to Gianluca Mazzella.

Alongside Savino, the confirmed cast includes Matteo Martari, Claudio Bigagli, Roberto Citran, Gioele Dix, and Monica Dugo. New additions include Trieste-based actors Zoe Pernici and Giulio Cancelli, who play two police officers, as well as Gaetano Bruno.

In the new season, Libera takes on the role of Presiding Judge of a Court of Appeal division.

Filming has taken place across numerous locations in the region, including the Melara residential complex in collaboration with ATER, the Chamber of Commerce, Palazzo Galatti, Maggiore Hospital, Piazza Unità d’Italia, the University of Trieste, and the municipality of Muggia, which serves as the residence of the character played by Martari.

Production is scheduled to wrap on 2 May 2026 at the Trieste Law Courts. Further details on the broadcast schedule will be available through Rai 1 and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission.
