A powerful burst of northerly wind is sweeping across Friuli Venezia Giulia this morning, as a cold front pushes through the region, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures and unsettled conditions.
Gusts are being felt from the mountains to the coast, with blustery conditions dominating early Thursday. Rain and low-level snow overnight have given way to colder air, while strong winds continue to whip across exposed areas, including the Karst Plateau.
Forecasters say the winds will persist through the day, keeping temperatures below seasonal norms and conditions brisk across the region.
