The Comitato Cielo Aperto, in collaboration with ASD Generali, today announced the allocation of €15,000 raised during the seventh edition of the Trofeo Conad Duino Superstore to the “Pro Ricerca” project at ASUGI, the Azienda Sanitaria Universitaria Giuliano Isontina.

The funds will support ongoing research activities in the Hematology and Oncology departments at Ospedale Maggiore, where two researchers have been working alongside department directors Prof. Francesco Zaja and Dr. Alessandra Guglielmi for the past six years. In addition, a food voucher valid for one year will be donated to the hospital’s Oncology Day Hospital for patient use.

The Trofeo Conad Duino Superstore is a FIDAL FVG regional 7.5 km race, complemented by non-competitive activities including Nordic walking and dog-related events organized by U.Ci.O. (Unità Cinofila Operativa).

A portion of the proceeds will also be allocated to scholarships for students at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Tartini.

Since 2018, the Comitato Cielo Aperto has raised and distributed over €400,000 to hospitals and individuals facing serious economic and health hardship, collecting funds exclusively for charitable purposes through events held at Trieste’s principal venues, including Teatro Verdi, Politeama Rossetti, Teatro Miela, and Teatro Bobbio.

The Committee is also planning an international concert featuring Craig David, scheduled for April 30, 2026, in Trieste, organized in collaboration with Show Eventi.
