A record-breaking industrial valve manufactured by Orion Valves was successfully loaded for shipment to Saudi Arabia on Friday at the Seadock pier in the port of Trieste.
The operation, considered complex due to the valve’s size and weight, was facilitated by the port’s specialized infrastructure. The Seadock pier, operated by the Samer Group, features a 450-ton crane—the only one of its kind in the Adriatic—which played a crucial role in handling the oversized load.
Orion Valves produced the valve primarily in Trieste and Cividale before transporting it to the port for export. Officials highlighted the shipment as an example of the port’s capacity to support large-scale industrial projects and international logistics, emphasizing the technical expertise and equipment available at the Trieste facility.
