On the first weekend of every month, the galleries of Il Giulia shopping center in Trieste host a second-hand and small antiques market curated by the cultural association Cose di vecchie case. The market, which began in 1996, will mark its 30th year of activity in 2026.

The next edition is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, and Sunday, January 4, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the common areas of the mall on Via Giulia. Admission is free.

Exhibitors from across Friuli Venezia Giulia present a range of items including small antiques, modern collectibles, vintage records, comics, model figures and handmade crafts. The selection typically combines objects from earlier decades with contemporary artisanal work.

Over the years, the market has become a regular fixture in Trieste’s cultural calendar, offering visitors a chance to browse historical objects and handcrafted goods in an informal setting that blends commercial and cultural activity.
