Beginning Oct. 16, 2025, legal representatives of property owners in Trieste — including guardians, curators, court-appointed special administrators, support administrators and parents of minors — will be able to submit declarations for their clients’ first “second home” under Article 13-bis of Regional Law 17/2022, the city said in an announcement.
The declaration, required for properties classified as secondary residences, must be filed through the regional ILIA online portal. Representatives will first need to request authorization from the Municipality of Trieste before operating on behalf of the property holder.
The deadline for submitting the “second home” declaration is June 30 of the year following the tax reference year.
For further information, residents may contact the municipal ILIA, IMU and Tax Compliance Office by email at ts.imu.tasi@comune.trieste.it or by phone at +39 040 675 8571 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
