A series of temporary road closures will take place in early October to allow for maintenance on the city’s electrical grid, local utility AcegasApsAmga announced.
From October 1 through 10, work will be carried out in the area of Salita al Promontorio and Via dell’Università. Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day, several streets will be closed to traffic, including:
- Salita al Promontorio: about 110 meters between Via Belpoggio and Via del Lazzaretto Vecchio.
- Via dell’Università: about 85 meters between Via Belpoggio and Salita al Promontorio.
- Androna Santa Tecla: about 130 meters near the intersection with Salita al Promontorio.
- Androna Sant’Eufemia: about 60 meters near the intersection with Salita al Promontorio.
In addition, parking and stopping will be prohibited along Salita al Promontorio. The roadway there will be narrowed, a 30 km/h speed limit will be enforced, and a stop sign will be introduced on Via Belpoggio for drivers arriving from Via dell’Università.
Access to homes will remain possible for residents, though subject to work conditions. Emergency vehicles and law enforcement will be permitted to pass at all times.
AcegasApsAmga advised drivers to pay close attention to road signs in the area and plan travel accordingly, noting that it regrets any inconvenience caused by the works and appreciates residents’ cooperation.
