The regional government of Friuli Venezia Giulia has approved a new package of funding measures aimed at strengthening family services, with a particular focus on after-school programs, summer camps, and parental support initiatives.
Announcing the decision, Alessia Rosolen, the regional councilor for labor and family, said the measures were designed to “concretely support families by offering more services for children and young people and by reinforcing support networks for parents.” She added that the move underscores the role of the nonprofit sector as “an essential partner in improving the quality of community life.”
The plan sets aside approximately €1.58 million (about $1.7 million) for projects beginning in 2025 and 2026. After-school programs, scheduled to run from September 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, will be eligible for grants of up to €65,000 each. Summer day camps, operating between June 1 and August 31, 2026, may receive up to €24,000 per project. Initiatives designed to support parents, planned from September 2026 through August 2027, can apply for grants of up to €5,000.
The funding plan also includes targeted resources for children and young people with disabilities, with a maximum of €15,000 available per after-school project and €20,000 for summer camps.
The regional government said detailed calls for proposals, including deadlines and application guidelines, will be published on the Friuli Venezia Giulia official website (www.regione.fvg.it).
