After a summer break, free guided tours of the Hydrodynamic Plant and the Electrical Substation in Trieste’s Porto Vecchio will resume in September, organized by the Trieste section of Italia Nostra.
The tours are part of a collaborative initiative between the City of Trieste and Italia Nostra Aps, aimed at promoting volunteer activities and enhancing the cultural heritage of the Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo area.
Each visit lasts approximately 90 minutes, with participants asked to meet 15 minutes in advance outside the Electrical Substation at Viale Miramare 24/4. Scheduled dates for September 2025 are as follows:
- Wednesday, September 3, at 9:30 a.m.
- Friday, September 5, at 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 10, at 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, September 17, at 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, September 24, at 9:30 a.m.
Reservations are required at least five days prior to each visit and can be made by contacting trieste@italianostra.org.
Italia Nostra also offers guided tours for groups at other times, which can be arranged by request through the same email address.
