Harry’s Piccolo, the celebrated restaurant led by chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, is set to reopen on August 16 in a new location inside the historic Palazzo Dreher. The move marks a new chapter for the establishment, which holds two Michelin stars, three “forchette” from the Gambero Rosso guide, and four “cappelli” from the Espresso guide.

Regional Environment Councillor Fabio Scoccimarro visited the restaurant on Wednesday, praising its role in promoting Friuli Venezia Giulia’s culinary excellence. “It is a source of pride that our region boasts two restaurants with two Michelin stars,” Scoccimarro said, noting Harry’s Piccolo’s blend of refined cuisine and local ingredients.

During the visit, Scoccimarro also highlighted a painting by artist David Dalla Venezia displayed in the dining space. The work depicts historical figures who have shaped Trieste’s identity, offering diners a visual narrative alongside their culinary experience. “Placing it in such an exclusive space adds value,” he said, “allowing guests to immerse themselves not only in exceptional gastronomy but also in a visual story that celebrates the city’s history and spirit.”

Harry’s Piccolo’s new home aims to position itself as a destination for discerning travelers seeking high-end dining. According to Scoccimarro, the restaurant’s combination of culinary innovation and prestigious hospitality strengthens Trieste’s profile as an international destination for quality and refinement.
