Around 600 people gathered in Piazza della Borsa on Tuesday evening for a demonstration in support of Gaza, organized by the “Comitato 27 Maggio.” Participants held Palestinian and peace flags and called for an end to the violence.
The event was supported by various humanitarian organizations, unions, and left-leaning political parties.
Organizers condemned both Hamas and the Israeli government’s actions, as well as what they described as the international community’s inaction. A formal appeal to the Italian government and President Sergio Mattarella is being prepared by the committee.
