On Friday, July 18, Piazza Verdi transformed into a vibrant open-air jazz club as crowds gathered for Trieste Jazz Nights. Locals and tourists alike filled the square, swaying to smooth rhythms under the evening sky. “The atmosphere is magical,” said one attendee. Families, students, and longtime jazz lovers came out to enjoy the free performances, many bringing picnic blankets and wine. The event, part of the city’s summer cultural program, drew praise for its lively, inclusive vibe. As one jazz fan told us, “This is what summer in Trieste should always feel like.”
