In celebration of the thirtieth edition of the Festa della Musica, an international event marking the summer solstice, the Throne Room of Miramare Castle will host a remarkable musical evening. The Sollini – Barbatano duo, renowned for their artistry, will be the featured performers in this prestigious event, which is part of the Grand Musical Tour through Italy’s most culturally rich and scenic locations. The Miramare Museum will extend its hours until 11 PM to accommodate this special occasion.
The esteemed Wanderer music festival, “Armonie della sera,” will make its way to Trieste, following triumphant performances in Assisi, Florence, and Vicenza. This year’s edition opened in the Upper Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, followed by concerts at the Cenacolo of Santa Croce in Florence and the Olympic Theatre in Vicenza. The festival, conceptualized and led by the acclaimed pianist Marco Sollini, is set to enchant audiences in the Throne Room of Miramare Castle at 8 PM on June 21.
The concert, a collaborative effort between the Miramare Museum and the Ministry of Culture, promises an exquisite repertoire. The Sollini – Barbatano Duo will perform Gabriel Fauré’s charming Dolly Suite, Marco Sollini’s own Babies’ Corner suite featuring eight delightful dances including a fox-trot and a mambo, and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s 6 Morceaux op.11, a suite evoking the composer’s homeland.
This event, true to the “Armonie della sera” tradition, will offer a harmonious blend of beautiful music and stunning surroundings. Founded in the Marche region, the festival enjoys the High Patronage of the President of the Republic and aims to bring great music to Italy’s most enchanting locales.
Museum admission is priced at 12€ with applicable legal reductions. Concert tickets are available for 8€, with a combined Castle and concert ticket priced at 20€. Reduced rates of 10€ are available for attendees aged 18-25, and certain legal provisions allow for free entry to the concert. Reservations are mandatory due to limited seating and can be made by emailing eventi.miramare@cultura.gov.it. Confirmation of reservations will be sent via email.
