Italy has rejected a major judicial reform in a national referendum, with voters narrowly siding against changes to the justice system. While the result blocks one of the government’s key proposals, reactions on the ground are mixed. In Trieste, we spoke with local residents to find out whether the vote mattered to them—and how closely they were following the issue.
