Trieste’s mayor, Roberto Dipiazza, and Councilor for Sports Policy Elisa Lodi welcomed three youth minicross regional champions to the city’s municipal offices in March 2026. The occasion followed the conclusion of the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional minicross season, in which all three riders claimed first place in their respective categories.

Eric Schiavon, Jeremy Aiello, and Giulio Pitacco secured regional titles in the 65 Debuttanti, 65 Cadetti, and 85 Junior categories, respectively. Final standings show Schiavon accumulating 2,480 points, Aiello achieving a perfect 3,000-point score across twelve rounds, and Pitacco leading the 85 Junior classification.

The delegation was accompanied to City Hall by Massimo Pacor, president of MotoClub Trieste, along with the athletes’ coaches and parents.

All three champions also delivered strong performances beyond the regional circuit, competing successfully in championships outside Friuli Venezia Giulia.
