The Civil Protection Agency of Friuli Venezia Giulia has issued a yellow weather alert for Thursday, Aug. 20, and Friday, Aug. 21, as forecasts call for scattered rainfall and thunderstorms across the region, with some storms potentially becoming strong.
According to forecasts from the regional environmental agency ARPA, both days are expected to bring variable cloud cover and scattered thunderstorms, with the greatest likelihood occurring in the afternoon.
On Thursday, some thunderstorms could be particularly intense. Similar conditions are forecast for Friday, when strong thunderstorms are again considered possible.
The reliability of the forecasts is estimated at 60 percent for both days.
