The Provincial Library and Provincial Historical Archive of Gorizia will reopen to the public on June 3, 2026, following a period of renovation that began on September 15 last year.

Both institutions, managed by the Regional Agency for Cultural Heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia (ERPAC), have undergone upgrades aimed at improving their facilities and services for researchers, students and residents.

The Provincial Library will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with additional afternoon hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Provincial Historical Archive will be accessible by appointment during the same hours. Requests for consultations must be submitted by email and should include details of the research topic as well as contact information.

The reopening restores access to a key resource for the preservation, study and consultation of the area’s documentary heritage. ERPAC noted that additional improvement works are planned in the future and may require temporary closures.

For information, the Provincial Library can be reached at +39 0481 546090 or via email at biblioteca.erpac@regione.fvg.it. The Provincial Historical Archive can be contacted at +39 0481 546089 or archivio.erpac@regione.fvg.it.
