Regional officials in Friuli Venezia Giulia are stepping up efforts to connect young people with employers through a new hiring initiative scheduled for March 26 at Villa Dora, in Piazza Plebiscito.

The event, the second “Recruiting Day Young” of 2026 and the ninth recruiting day organized this year, is designed to help job seekers under 35 meet directly with companies operating in the region.

According to Alessia Rosolen, the region’s councilor for labor, the program aims to create a straightforward pathway between young candidates and local businesses. The initiative is being organized in partnership with the municipality of San Giorgio di Nogaro and the area’s Informagiovani youth information center.

“This format is meant to encourage direct contact between young people and the productive realities of the territory,” Ms. Rosolen said in a statement.

Short Interviews, Broad Exposure

The recruiting day will follow a structured format centered on brief introductory interviews. Each participant will have five minutes to meet with each company, rotating through all employers in about 20 minutes.

Officials say the rapid format is intended to lower barriers to entry, allowing candidates to present themselves efficiently while gaining exposure to multiple employers in a single session.

The event is open to job seekers up to age 35, who will be able to learn about participating companies, hold short exploratory interviews and apply for potential job opportunities.

Companies Across Sectors

Several established regional firms are expected to attend, including the steel producer ABS – Acciaierie Bertoli Safau, the hospitality group AnimaVera, the supermarket operator Despar (Aspiag Service), and the food company Oleificio San Giorgio.

Regional officials say the range of sectors represented reflects an effort to showcase diverse employment possibilities within the local economy.

Participation is free but limited, and registration is required by Monday, March 23, 2026, at:
