Commuters across the city may face significant delays on Friday, Nov. 28, as the regional branch of the USB union announced it will join a 24-hour national strike affecting local public transportation.

The walkout, which includes bus drivers as well as technical and administrative staff, is expected to impact services throughout the day. Officials warned that disruptions could affect not only regular transport routes but also public-facing offices.

Essential service windows, however, will remain in place. Under current regulations, all connections will be guaranteed during the commuter peak hours of 6 to 9 a.m. and again from 1 to 4 p.m., ensuring minimal service for workers and students.

Local authorities are advising residents to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel and check updated schedules as the strike approaches.
