Interview: Andrea Cangini, general secretary of the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi
Luigi Einaudi’s legacy came alive in Trieste on Wednesday through Il mio canto libero: l’eredità di Luigi Einaudi (“My Free Song: The Legacy of Luigi Einaudi”), a live show fusing philosophy, pop culture, and music.
Created by Popsophia in collaboration with the Luigi Einaudi Foundation, the performance explored freedom through references ranging from Plato’s Dialogues to Divergent, Queen, and A Clockwork Orange.
“Freedom is never a final conquest but a living desire,” said artistic director Lucrezia Ercoli. The event, aimed at students, celebrated Einaudi’s belief in critical thinking and open dialogue.
Later that day, the Einaudi Foundation inaugurated its new Trieste headquarters on Viale Miramare 23.
