Under a clear October sky and a steady breeze, the 57th edition of the Barcolana Regatta concluded with a resounding victory for Arca and a proud second-place finish for Marta 07.

The race, a cherished Triestine tradition and one of the largest sailing events in the world, saw thousands of spectators lining the Gulf of Trieste to watch local teams compete in near-perfect conditions.

At the helm of Marta 07 was the first female skipper to reach such a high placement in the competition, marking a milestone for the regatta. “We finished second, behind Furio,” she said, referring to Arca’s skipper Furio Benussi. “I congratulate him — he raced very well. But we’re proud to have made history as the first woman-led team to reach this result.”
