Trieste will join cities across the continent in celebrating European Mobility Week with an evening of music, comedy, and community engagement at Teatro Verdi.
On Friday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Sala del Ridotto will host a performance by the well-known comic duo Furian & Maxino. Their sketches and musical interludes are intended to bring a lighthearted touch to discussions around sustainable transportation, the central theme of the Europe-wide initiative. The event is free and open to the public.
The program also includes the awards ceremony for “#lavitachevoio…a Barcola con BiTS,” a photography contest organized in collaboration with Trieste Trasporti. Winners will be announced during the evening.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for a complimentary annual subscription to BiTS, the city’s bike-sharing service.
European Mobility Week, held annually in September, encourages citizens and municipalities to adopt cleaner, smarter modes of transportation. Trieste’s contribution combines entertainment with practical incentives, aiming to highlight the role of bicycles and public transport in the city’s daily life.
