The main square of Aurisina will once again host a monthly flea market this Saturday, coinciding with the town’s celebration of San Rocco. Organized by the cultural association Cose di Vecchie Case and supported by the Municipality of Duino-Aurisina, the market will feature antiques, vintage goods, artisanal crafts and collectibles, drawing exhibitors from across the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
The event, which begins at 8 a.m. with free admission, marks the fifth edition of the season. Building on the success of four previous installments this year, the flea market is scheduled to take place on the third Saturday of each month through December 20.
Stalls will line Piazza San Rocco, the recently inaugurated square in the center of Aurisina that has already become a focal point for community gatherings. Known for its restaurants and cafés, the square has been described by locals as one of the most picturesque in the Karst area.
Organizers say the market offers not only an opportunity to browse small antiques and vintage items but also to rediscover a tradition that had been absent from Aurisina for years. “There are always plenty of curiosities that capture the interest of visitors,” said representatives of Cose di Vecchie Case.
If weather permits, the flea market will return on September 20 and continue monthly through the end of the year.
