In an effort to strengthen the region’s hospitality workforce ahead of the summer season, the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has announced a Recruiting Day to be held in Grado on March 5. The initiative, organized by the Regional Employment Services, will feature two major tourism companies seeking to fill 70 positions across various roles in the hospitality and restaurant sectors.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Trieste, where Alessia Rosolen, the regional councillor for labor, emphasized the broader vision behind the initiative. “We are working on legislation that promotes social well-being, making Friuli Venezia Giulia a more attractive place where young people and families can develop their aspirations, life projects, and career growth,” Rosolen said.

The event, which will take place at the Grado City Council Hall, will host representatives from Club del Sole, an open-air hospitality company based in Forlì, and Villaggio Turistico Europa, a long-standing seaside resort in Grado.

Founded in 1974, Club del Sole operates 27 vacation villages across eight Italian regions, with a total accommodation capacity exceeding 28,000 beds. The company has a presence in Friuli Venezia Giulia with two resorts: Marina Julia Family Collection in Monfalcone and Tenuta Primero Resort in Grado.

Villaggio Turistico Europa, which has been active for over 40 years, offers a range of amenities including restaurants, entertainment, sports facilities, and beachfront accommodations tailored primarily to families with children.

The available positions include administrative staff, chefs, pizza makers, restaurant and bar personnel, dishwashers, receptionists, night porters, lifeguards, maintenance workers, and landscapers. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications by February 24 via an online portal: https://bit.ly/RAFVG2025_RD_Grado.

As part of a broader strategy to attract a wider pool of applicants, regional authorities are considering using European Union employment platforms such as EURES, which facilitates labor mobility across EU member states.

This initiative is part of a series of recruitment events aimed at addressing workforce shortages in the tourism sector. A similar Recruiting Day was recently held for Grado’s Grado Impianti Turistici (GIT), while another event is scheduled for February 19 in Trieste and a subsequent one on February 25 at the Kursaal Conference Center in Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The March 5 event in Grado will mark the conclusion of this series, which aims to connect job seekers with employment opportunities in one of Italy’s key tourism regions.
