Preparations have been in full swing, with the setup of essential infrastructure now complete. Piazza Caliterna has been transformed with the installation of kiosks, a stage, and amusement rides, all set to accommodate the festivities.
The carnival’s opening night will begin at 8 PM on August 8, featuring an official inauguration and remarks from local dignitaries. Following the formalities, the evening will showcase performances by children from the summer center and the Ricremattina program of the Municipality of Muggia. The event will also include a series of award ceremonies celebrating the 70th Winter Carnival of Muggia, a local fishing competition, and the Calli in Fiore flower contest, organized by the Pro Loco.
The opening night will conclude with a musical aperitif provided by local groups, promising a lively atmosphere to kick off the festivities.

In preparation for the influx of visitors, the town has implemented several traffic and parking restrictions. From now until August 17, all vehicles will be prohibited from entering or parking in Piazza Caliterna, except those directly related to carnival operations. Additionally, parking will be restricted on Via Battisti in the loading and unloading area behind the G. Millo Cultural Center from 6 PM to midnight until August 15.
