At the Risiera di San Sabba, the former Nazi concentration camp and now a national memorial, guided tours will be offered through May 3 on weekends, providing visitors with a structured opportunity to engage with one of Italy’s most significant 20th-century historical sites.

Held on Saturdays and Sundays at set times, the tours will be conducted in both Italian and Slovenian, reflecting the region’s linguistic and cultural landscape. Visitors are led through the complex by trained guides who offer historical context and interpretive insights, helping to illuminate the site’s role during World War II and its enduring significance as a place of remembrance.

Italian-language tours are scheduled weekly on Saturdays at 3:30 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. Slovenian-language tours will take place on select dates, including April 4 at 3 p.m. and May 3 at 11:30 a.m.

Additional Italian-language tours are planned for May 1 at 11 a.m., as well as April 6 at 11 a.m., the latter replacing the usual Sunday visit on Easter.

Admission to the guided tours is €7 per person.

The program is organized by the Municipality of Trieste in collaboration with CoopCulture, which also manages reservations and visitor services.

For information and bookings, visitors can contact CoopCulture by phone at +39 040 9892032 or by email at museicivici.trieste@coopculture.it.
