For the past ten days, Trieste has enjoyed unseasonably mild weather, with clear skies and temperatures hovering around 15 to 16 degrees Celsius. Along Barcola beach, residents have been taking advantage of the sunshine, strolling, sunbathing, and even dipping their feet in the Adriatic. Many described the warmth as a welcome reprieve from winter, while others expressed concern that such early spring conditions may be another sign of a changing climate. Rain is in the forecast, but for now, Trieste continues to bask in the kind of light and warmth more typical of late March than mid-November.
