Treasure Hunt Brings History to Life for Children at San Giusto Castle

On Monday, November 3, the Castello di San Giusto will host a special treasure hunt for children in celebration of the city’s patron saint. The event, titled “Alla conquista del Castello” (“Conquering the Castle”), is designed for children ages 6 to 12 and will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The 90-minute activity offers a guided exploration of the castle’s courtyards, walkways, and interior rooms, combining historical insights with playful challenges. Participants will follow a series of clues led by museum educators, encouraging teamwork, observation, and curiosity while learning about the castle’s history, legends, and hidden corners.

The experience is intended to be both educational and entertaining, allowing children to engage with Trieste’s historical heritage in a hands-on way. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult.
