Interview: FVG councilor Giulia Massolino (Patto per l’Autonomia–Civica FVG)
The recent removal of maritime pines in Grignano, part of restoration work on the state-owned port area, was the focus of a press conference held yesterday in Trieste. Regional councilors Giulia Massolino (Patto per l’Autonomia–Civica FVG) and Francesco Russo (Democratic Party) were joined by Enza Pagano and Gertrud Prugger of the Riva Massimiliano e Carlotta Group, and Renato La Rosa of Legambiente FVG. The speakers discussed formal inquiries to the regional government, responses from Councillor Cristina Amirante, and an order presented during the budget adjustment. Environmental groups reiterated their opposition to further tree removal on the site’s southern side.
