The Biblioteca Comunale Marinelli will host the second screening of its children’s film series, Cinema in Biblioteca: Giovani Sguardi e Nuovi Immaginari, on Saturday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m. The program, aimed at children ages 3 and older, is free to the public.

The screening will feature Le avventure intergalattiche di Peter e i suoi amici (Hungary, 1961–1973, 52 minutes), considered Hungary’s first animated science-fiction series. The story follows Peter, a curious young boy from the city, as he encounters the inventive, eccentric Professor Leo. Alongside his younger sister Kati and their dachshund Félix, Peter embarks on intergalactic adventures, encountering robot mishaps, journeys to Saturn aboard polka-dotted balloons, and a variety of imaginative contraptions.

A subsequent screening is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Biblioteca Pier Antonio Quarantotti Gambini, located on via delle Lodole 6 and 7a.

The series is organized by the Trieste Film Festival in collaboration with the city’s Department of Education, School Services, and Libraries. Support for the initiative comes from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Government, promoting local cultural and educational activities.
