The Barcolana Village officially opens this Wednesday, October 8, marking the start of Trieste’s most anticipated week of the year. In the days leading up to Sunday’s grand regatta, the city’s waterfront transforms into a lively hub of stalls, music, and nautical displays.

Locals expressed excitement about the return of the event, which draws sailors and visitors from around the world. “It’s the spirit of Trieste,” said one resident, noting how the celebration brings the community together.

As preparations continue, anticipation builds for the spectacle that has become both a sporting tradition and a citywide festival.
