The city of Trieste will host the “Trieste Drone Show” on the evening of Thursday, August 14, featuring an environmentally friendly drone light display accompanied by music over the waters of the San Giusto basin, in front of Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia.
In preparation for the event, the municipal government has announced a series of traffic and parking restrictions to ensure public safety and smooth operations, as outlined in Ordinance No. 713-25.
Starting at midnight on Tuesday, August 12, through 8 p.m. on Friday, August 15, parking and stopping will be prohibited, with vehicles subject to removal, along a 40-meter stretch of Via Giulio Cesare near number 2, adjacent to the exit of the Municipal Fruit and Vegetable Market toward Passeggio Sant’Andrea (on the even-numbered side).
On the evening of the event, from 11 p.m. until midnight on August 14—and possibly extended if necessary—the city will restrict vehicle traffic along key waterfront roads, including Riva del Mandracchio, Riva Caduti per l’Italianità, and Riva Tre Novembre, spanning from the intersection with Via di Mercato Vecchio to Piazza Nicolò Tommaseo.
These restrictions may be rescheduled in the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen circumstances, with potential alternate dates set for August 22, 23, 24, 28, or 29.
Exemptions will apply for emergency vehicles, law enforcement, and any authorized vehicles linked to the event organizers.
Authorities have also indicated that the local police and other enforcement agencies reserve the right to modify or add to these measures as conditions require during the event.
The “Trieste Drone Show” promises a modern, eco-conscious celebration highlighting the city’s historic waterfront with a spectacular audiovisual experience.
