A sweeping regulatory action by the Chamber of Commerce of Venezia Giulia has led to the suspension of 110 real estate agencies operating in the northeastern Italian provinces of Trieste and Gorizia. The decision, which came into effect in recent days, marks one of the most significant crackdowns on real estate mediators in the region in recent years.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, the suspensions were issued due to non-compliance with professional registration requirements and licensing regulations necessary to legally operate as real estate intermediaries.
The breakdown of affected agencies includes 77 based in the Province of Trieste and 33 in the Province of Gorizia.

While the Chamber of Commerce has not published detailed statements on individual cases, it emphasized the importance of adhering to professional standards in an industry critical to both citizens and the regional economy.
Authorities also noted that, in some cases, notification could not be delivered due to unavailable addresses or incomplete contact information — further highlighting the disorganization that contributed to the enforcement measures.
