Cinema Nazionale: The First Italian Movie Theater To Reopen After Lockdown

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in his latest address to Italian public announced the new measures governing the reopening of cinemas and theaters on June 15. However, regions are free to widen or narrow these measures, taking full responsibilities for it. 

Friuli Venezia Giulia has decided it was time to reopen its cinemas staring June 3, the date of the new regional decree that allows more freedom to commercial businesses that have been closed or paused due to the coronavirus lockdown. Cinema Nazionale thus becomes the first cinema in Italy to reopen its doors to public.

A number of new rules for cinema goers will apply:

Masks and social distancing are mandatory.

Fever will be measured to the audience, and entry will be denied to whom has a temperature of over 37,5.

The decree specifies that screenings can take place “with a maximum of 1000 people for outdoor shows and a maximum 200 people for indoor shows, in each room.”
