Interviews: Laura Paris — delegate for local events at FAI; visitors
For a few hours this weekend, the imposing doors of Trieste’s Government Palace opened not to officials, but to the public — and the public came in force.
More than 1,500 people queued on Saturday for a rare look inside the seat of the local prefecture, part of the nationwide “Giornate FAI di Primavera,” organized by the Fondo Ambiente Italiano. The annual event offers access to historic sites often off-limits, transforming quiet institutions into lively cultural destinations.
