It may be mid-October, but in Trieste, the lingering warmth of an Indian summer shows no sign of fading. Along the city’s beloved Barcola waterfront, travelers and locals alike continue to soak up the sun, swim in the calm Adriatic, and enjoy the relaxed seaside atmosphere. We spoke with several beachgoers who said the extended summer has been a welcome gift — a final chance to enjoy Trieste’s coast before autumn truly sets in.
