With just one week remaining before the UEFA Super Cup showdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, the official “Trophy Experience” has arrived in the northern Italian town of Grado. The event is part of a wider promotional tour across Friuli Venezia Giulia in the lead-up to the August 13 match at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.
The UEFA Trophy Experience features three of European football’s most prestigious prizes: the UEFA Champions League trophy, the UEFA Europa League trophy, and the Super Cup trophy that will be awarded to the winner of next Wednesday’s highly anticipated clash between the French and English clubs.
In Grado, the trophies are on public display today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the main entrance to Git beach, adjacent to the temporary visitor center hosted by the Fondazione Aquileia on Via Dante Alighieri. The event offers fans and tourists a chance to see the silverware up close, take photographs, and engage with UEFA representatives.
The exhibition is part of UEFA’s broader effort to build excitement and community engagement around the Super Cup match. Following its Grado stop, the Trophy Experience will move to Lignano Sabbiadoro for the weekend.
The 2025 UEFA Super Cup, kicking off at 9 p.m. local time on August 13, marks a significant sporting event for the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, drawing international attention to Udine and its modernized stadium. Both PSG and Tottenham earned their place in the fixture by winning the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League respectively in the previous season.
Local officials and tourism boards have welcomed the initiative, noting its role in boosting both regional visibility and tourism during the peak summer season.
