The open-air film season curated by Casa del Cinema di Trieste continues to draw strong public interest as it returns to the Giardino Pubblico “Muzio de Tommasini” for its summer series, Giardino del Cinema. Running from July 12 to July 20, the program offers a diverse lineup that includes auteur comedies, animated films, biopics, and festival-awarded features.
Following a successful start marked by high attendance and enthusiastic audiences, the summer schedule expands with a fresh selection of titles aimed at cinema lovers of all ages.
The series resumes on Saturday, July 12, with the Italian premiere of La trama fenicia, the latest film by director Wes Anderson. Starring Benicio del Toro and Mia Threapleton, the film follows the eccentric journey of international magnate Zsa-zsa Korda, who—after surviving a plane crash for the sixth time—attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter Liesl, now a nun.
All screenings take place in the open-air arena of the public garden, with a single-entry ticket price of €3. The event is part of a broader cultural initiative aimed at promoting film as a community experience and enhancing access to international cinema.
Further highlights from the program are expected in the coming days, contributing to a vibrant cultural summer in the heart of Trieste.
