The Adriatic coast shimmered this weekend as Friuli Venezia Giulia welcomed an early taste of summer. Under cloudless skies and warm June sun, locals flocked to the sea.
Beaches in Grado, Lignano, and Trieste filled quickly with swimmers and sunseekers, towels laid side by side along the shore. In town, the rhythm slowed: cafés hummed with quiet conversation, espresso cups clinked, and glasses of spritz caught the afternoon light.
As temperatures climbed, the region settled into its summer ritual—unhurried, sun-drenched, and unmistakably Italian. A weekend by the sea, and a reminder of life’s simpler pleasures.
