In an effort to underscore the critical role of terrestrial and marine forests in mitigating the impacts of climate change, the Historical Museum and WWF Miramare Marine Protected Area are set to host a family-oriented stroll from the historic park to the BioMa on Saturday, March 23.
Come Saturday, March 23, the verdant expanse of Miramare Park and the ecologically vital Marine Protected Area will take center stage, playing host to a collaborative event spearheaded by the Historical Museum and WWF.
This gathering marks a dual celebration: the International Day of Forests (March 21), designated by the United Nations to spotlight the immeasurable value of global woodlands and the looming threats they face, and Earth Hour, an annual WWF-led global phenomenon uniting nations in a symbolic gesture – the collective extinguishing of lights for sixty minutes – aimed at refocusing the world’s attention on the existential challenge of climate change and the imperative of collective action towards a sustainable and equitable future for all.
